No, it’s not included in the standard plans. You have to pay extra and can either pay daily or for monthly service. The monthly vcast service costs $15 per month. It’s really only worth it if you have long times to watch videos (basically if you ride public transit or work a really mundane job).
Verizon is rolling out 4g wireless, so hopefully there will be better vcast options for cheaper.
Right now I would say it’s probably not worth getting it, but you might as well sign up for a day to see if it’s worth it for you.

i mean his laptop has wireless card so he can also surf internet through my connections but he lives in next door apartment. all i want to know is how safe is my data transactions over the websites as he is also using the same connections wirelessly but we dont have any networking between our laptops but i still have doubt like can he access my information on my laptop or is anyway i can catch him as he is using my connection but he is not equally paying and denying of using my connections wirelessly

Hi! I have a Wireless Connection issue. The connection is between an IBM laptop and a Netgear router. The scene is that I do get an IP address on the laptop when the connection is made, also i do get the icon showing messages that connection is established with so and so strength, but, it does not access the internet, while the same laptop works good when put on the wired LAN. Please help.

make sure yoiu have the WEP KEY AND SSID correct from the router/modem

Right Click on "My Computer" and click manage. Then click Services and Applications, then expand services. Locate the service called "Wireless Zero Configuration" Right click the service and click start. If the start option is greyed out you can double click it and change the startup type from disabled to automatic. Once you change the startup type you can start the service. Once this service is started Windows will manage the wireless configuration.

It seems I configured my Netgear WRN2000 wireless router correctly on my home desktop. (I had to use the desktop because of the compatability issues with vista 64bit on my laptop). But I still can’t get a wireless internet connection on my laptop. Any ideas?

All you have to do is plug the ethernet cable to the ethernet in port in the router. Your router should have come with a CD installation disk, and it will help you set it up and get started.

It has been working fine for months and now it is saying it has low signal and can not connect, however im right next to the router?It works obviousily through ethernet but not wirelessely?

First of all, how is your router broadcasting it’s SSID?

Was it changed from the default (i.e. linksys, dlink, netgear)

If you have a neighbor that bought a similar brand router, your computer can be getting confused between the SSIDs.

Make sure your SSID is unique, if that is already the case.

Test with another wireless device, and if have the same issue, try changin the wireless channel on the router, or even a different router.

Im thinking of buying a used Toshiba M70-ZJ3, but one of the problems about it is that the wireless connection drops after some time.

Im not sure if this is actually a problem with the laptop itself, or if it is something wrong with the router the seller has.

Router and Laptop both could be ok.
In correct settings on one of them else poor signal could be aproble.
Did you check for the signal strength.
I have a tecra and the Lan connection was dropping out interestingly after working fine for 30 minutes.
Later I discovered that the settings were not compatible
