Is anyone familiar with Verizon Wireless plans?

my dad has a plan with verizon already, and he has unlimited minutes, he needs unlimited minutes but he doesnt really need texting. he offered to let me on his plan, and i dont need unlimited minutes but i text all the time and my life would be easier if i could get unlimited texting. i dont really need minutes. so is there a plan that could incorporate both of those things and not be completely overpriced?

on a family share plan you can choose the features that everyone uses, separate for each phone. My mom and i have it all, calling, texting internet, e-mail, etc. on LG Chocolate VX8550. My dad has the same phone and he’s on our family share, but internet and e-mail is excluded on his phone only.

HOW DO i START MY OWN BUSINESS SELLING PHONES AND PLANS LIKE SIMPLY WIRELESS?

Hi there!

I want to have a small store selling cellular phones and plans, you know like simply wireless where they sell all kinds of plans from sprint, t-mobile (which sucks by the way), verizon, ect…

Thanks alot!

In general, you will need to have a license to carry and sell products from the various suppliers you identified. You would need to find a location that does not have too many similar types of businesses nearby. You would also want to be in line with lots of foot traffic, as for many people, browsing in a store like this is interesting, esp. if you acquire various plans that people can immediately switch over without any charge.

Why am I receiving such a weak wireless signal even though I’m in the next room?

I have had my wireless network set up for a few weeks and I use my laptop in the room that’s next to where the router is located but my signal is only one bar out of 5.
The speed is okay but the signal is what I’m worried about. No other computers connect to it besides the main PC which is connected via ethernet.
Any ideas?

Probably steel in the walls diminishing your signal.

How can i get a wireless connection for my laptop?

I have a compaq laptop and a linksys wireless router and right now it is hooked up to a wired ethernet cablebut i want to be able to have a wireless connection. Also please include all the details please.

The steps vary depending on your model. Setting up wireless is actually easy. You just right click the icons with 2 monitor screens in the lower right hand corner of your screen, and then click on Connect to a Network. The rest is straight forward from there.

The problems is setting up the security. This is the reason why I frown against wireless. Well that and the fact that there might be dead spots in your home and interference is also an issue.

I strongly recommend powerline. It won’t be the cheapest option, but it is definitely the most reliable option. Like everything, nothing is 100% reliable, but powerline does not have the problems wireless has. Older powerling technologies weren’t that good, but they have just about perfected them. How do wireless data plans work for laptops?

I am thinking of subscribing to Sprint. They charge 39.99 a month for 40 MB and I am unsure how the 40MB thing works. If you have any idea please enlighten me!
No, its 40 MB of usage…not speed.

you should check out this site where you can get a sony vaio laptop for free

Can I use a wireless router instead of a wireless card to get internet from my mom’s next door?

I have a Belkin N Wireless Router and I need to know if I can use it to connect to my mother’s internet connection next door. Will I need some type of card instead?

You could also use a wireless access point configured as either a wireless client or a wireless bridge, bur unfortunately, you Belkin router won’t fill the bill.

How do I create a wireless broadband connection – I already have an Ethernet wired connection?

I am using a Belkin broadband modem/router and am connected to my pc with the Ethernet wire. I have to move my pc away from the router and need a wireless connection to the router but have been unable to set one up – please help!

Thank you, one and all.

Is that router you’re using a wireless router? If it’s not, then you need to buy a separate wireless router and set it up to work with your existing broadband router. Then just setup the WiFi network on your wireless router.

those with varizon wireless plans are you having trouble recieving texts from cingular?

i can send a text to a cingular phone but i cant recieve a text and neither can anyone else i know who has varizon r u experiencing this problem?

can you receive from other Verizon people? try sending one to your self… if it works, it’s not your phone line having the issue. also is the person sending you the message from cingular trying to send more than 160 characters? if so, tell them to shorten the message to less than 160 characters and break up long messages into multiple messages.. out of network messages have a really hard time translating an ems( enhanced message service – a text message longer than 160 characters) into one message and will normally break it up all garbled or not send at all. i work for Verizon and text alot, but one of my friends has cingular and if we send short messages back and forth it works fine, but if it’s even one letter over 160, the message freaks the network out….

what do I need for my desktop to connect to my mothers wireless internet next door?

I recently moved into be my grandmothers caretaker but still plan to share the internet service. I’m not sure about how to connect?

you’re gonna need a wireless router to connect to her internet and also a wireless adapter that you would plug into your desktop.

The adapter connects you to the router and the router takes the signal from the wireless internet.

remember to buy a WIRELESS router, that’s very important, otherwise you would need a really long cord to connect to her internet modem.

hope that helps! =)
